I wrote about the leadership as key for the success of the project, but I would like to extend the idea of successful using a strategic approach. For example, the strategic monitoring based on schedule or metrics is something to execute accurately in order to keep the project on track.

Another important thing to consider is the strategic change synchronized with the goals established by the stakeholders, because they are going to provide clarity to the goals and any change will impact on scopes and budgets. So, a true leader will be capable of communicate the changes and get their approval with agreements about costs and time. The clarify of the goals are not less important here because the fate of the project depends on them and the team should know them clearly. Hence, the stakeholders goals and team goals involved in the project have to succeed.

Speaking about the strategic monitoring, there are some points to consider to show progress of our projects, for example, the metrics calculated during the planning are useful to evaluate every step and report, also, the project manager surrounded of people with good communication skills will make the process to know the real status from insiders much easier.

At the end, the risks are going to mark our roadblock and challenges during the execution, so we should have them clearly identified and the procedure to avoid them. While, we keep the control over the situation with previously known issues, we should pursue the mitigation of additional risks, always looking for the best of our projects.

I would like to share my article about the prioritization criteria to know how important is to have a clear road and the sequence of steps to do.
