Prologue

The emergence of dragons on Mars alters the course of history and is changing the lives of Martians forever. Conflict amongst the competing Factions is inevitable, and dragons are at the forefront of this upheaval. To every Faction, the dragon symbolizes their view:

For the Terrans, dragons assure prosperity and the promise of liberty
For The Council, dragons mean power and continued domination
For Guardians dragons represent sacred honor and deeper consciousness
For the Free Martians, dragons are an enduring symbol of freedom

Terrans

“For too long, we Terrans were viewed as the powerless farmers and manual laborers of Mars. The Council controlled us for decades, manipulating us to their will. But no longer. The emergence of dragons has forced all Terrans to reconsider our purpose, religion, and abilities. With dragons living alongside humans, Terrans are realizing opportunities and a path to a new future.”

Terrans are natural merchants and gardeners. They are also adventurous, learning rapidly how to leverage their dragons for social status and wealth.

Free Martians
“Valuing freedom above all else, Free Martians have cultivated a reputation as wild and inventive, though at times disorganized. We live mostly in small, scattered communities throughout the crags and plains of Mars. No organized governance dictates our lives, only higher belief. When dragons arrived on Mars, we were grateful. To the Free Martian, the dragon is the pure representation of freedom and magic combined.”

Free Martians seek to unite forces with dragons to learn their magic, transform Mars, and protect the freedoms of all Martians.”

Guardians
“Born of necessity during the previous Martian Civil War, we Guardians are a warrior class of hardened soldiers. For decades we have craved a deeper purpose, but instead been relegated to border patrol and policing the populace. All of Mars know Guardian soldiers as the elite fighting force of the Council, but we know ourselves as much more.”

Guardians believe dragons are a gift from Elon himself, and seek to acquire them as weapons in a righteous war.

The Council
“Masterful guides and benevolent supervisors, the Council knows that only we can continue to secure the fate of Mars. For centuries, the Council has maintained order, apart from the unfortunate rift brought on by the Free Martians’ terrorism and civil unrest. Lesser minds believe we play political chess with the people of Mars. It’s easy to feel a pawn in a future only we have the vision to see.”

Determined to maintain control, The Council have begun to accumulate dragon ownership, which they view as the ultimate sign of power.

How can I join the Faction War?

Get a talisman for the Faction you want to join (Via Nesting a dragon egg, or acquire one on the secondary markets)
Play the first Faction Wars mini-game, Salim’s Adventure, on behalf of yourself and your Faction (if you haven’t played already)
Stake your Talisman and join that Faction (https://Factions.levana.finance/ )
Get ready for the war by recruiting friends, and gathering resources. The Faction War begins 22.2 at 10:00 UTC
Follow your Faction socials here: Terrans, Council, Free Martians, and Guardians, as well as joining the Levana Discord server.

Note: During the enlistment period, staking and unstaking from a Faction has no risks, apart from the fees. After enlistment is closed, unstaking your Talisman and leaving your Faction before the completion of the War will remove all achievements, quests and possible rewards from your Talisman for this War.

What can I do in this War?

Play and complete the games to help your Faction win, like the side-scroller: Salim’s adventure, mentioned above, and other upcoming games and quests
Participate in a weekly hunt for treasures which help you and your faction
Strengthen your Faction and fellow players on social media
Keep track of your Faction’s stats which include:
Number of participants
Number of dragons
Total spirit level
Number of quests completed
See the comparison stats for the Faction currently in the lead
Connect to your Faction’s social media accounts

Why should I play?

The Faction Wars is an innovative token distribution method
Faction War winners will receive a Spirit Level boost to their staked Faction Talisman
Factions (teams) participate in tasks and missions to build up Spirit Levels (SL) and Achievements. SL and achievements accumulate to individual players and their associated Factions, which is recorded in the metadata of the Talismans
Help your team win by participating in individual and team tasks, so you can increase the rarity of your Talisman and grow your team’s lead and rewards.
