You’re Ready to Start Growing!
Ok, so now you’re in. You’ve set up your profile, added a profile picture and now you’re ready to start growing your Herd — the group of customers you can message directly on Locasaur. Unlike a social media platform, there’s no “follower” system, and no need for your customers to hunt around for you in the app. Instead, your Herd grows via good ol’ word of mouth, starting with the first customers you add. Here’s a quick overview how:
Invite via SMS and Emails
SMS and Email are great choices if you already collect customers’ emails or phone numbers, or want to send a customer a quick invite while chatting with them. Simply open the app, tap the blue “add customer” button, select your preferred method, and enter the information. Both options will generate a personalized invite with your name and the name of your business.
Invite with a Shared Link
The third path to inviting customers is with a shared link, a feature that can be used in a few ways. Sharing a link is great for sending to people in your personal contacts. Links can also be copy and pasted into newsletters or social posts, and — in a more passive approach — added to websites. What makes these invites great is that anyone who downloads Locasaur via one of them — SMS, email or shared link — is automatically added to your Herd. You get notified and can go right in and say hi, cementing your new customer relationship.
Let Those Invites Fly
For your current customer base, don’t be afraid to let those invites fly! Random invites, these are not. Because invites are sent already-personalized with the inviter’s name, the business, and context, it’s perfectly ok to send them without any additional material. The customer you are inviting won’t see it as spam, and they will get to feel your personal touch right away.
Turn One Customer Into Many
Your first customers are the seeds from which your Herd will grow. Remember — each customer you add can invite folks they know into your Herd as well! Every new customer carries outsized potential for growth. It’s the same kind of word of mouth that’s always worked in real life, just made digital.
