CryptoZombies Rewards Released! Developers, Time to Claim Those Sweet Bonuses… 🏆 ⚔ 🎁 ️🎉
A month ago, we announced that CryptoZombies is hard forking to become the second Loom Network DAppChain, and that those who completed lessons before the cutoff date of April 20th would receive some pretty sweet rewards in the form of ERC20 / ERC721 tokens.
For those of you who participated: We’ve finished validating the authenticity of all the accounts, and the rewards are now yours for the taking!
There is now a shiny new rewards page on CryptoZombies where you can go and claim them. (Note — you have to be logged in to view the page).

Some background, for those of you who are new here…
135 days ago, we launched CryptoZombies, an “Interactive Code School for Building Games on Ethereum.”
In these four and a half months, over 174,038+ developers have tried the course, making CryptoZombies the most popular smart-contract learning platform online.
Last week, we announced that CryptoZombies had begun its migration to a Dappchain, and to reward our earliest users of CryptoZombies, everyone who completed at least one lesson before April 20 would receive a special gift from us.
Today, our reward transfer gateway is LIVE! And those rewards are available to everyone who hustled to meet the deadline.
Claiming Your Rewards with the Reward Transfer Gateway
For many of you, this will be the first time that you will have interacted with a Transfer Gateway (made by anyone, not just Loom Network).
But don’t fear — the process is quite straightforward.
How to claim your rewards:
- Log in and head over to the reward page from a browser with Metamask installed (or a mobile Dapp-browser like Trust Wallet)
- Scroll down and click “Get Reward”. Your rewards are automatically loaded based on how many lessons you completed before the cutoff date.
- If you’re using MetaMask, a dialogue box will pop up to confirm the Ethereum transaction as seen below.
(Note: You’ll need to have some ETH in your MetaMask wallet in order to pay the gas fee for the transfer). - Click SUBMIT… and you’re done!
The rewards are all now stored inside the wallet in your MetaMask.
Note that you may only see the LOOM tokens in your MetaMask. But don’t worry, the other rewards are there too —it’s just that the contracts haven’t been registered with MetaMask so it doesn’t recognize them.
If you check your wallet address on Etherscan, you can confirm that all the rewards are there in your wallet waiting to be used.

What rewards did you get?
To recap, if you completed at least one lesson of CryptoZombies, you received the following rewards:
- 1 x LOOM Token (Regular Loom Membership)
- 10 x DelegateCall Tokens
- Rare item on “Etherboy in Blockchain World” (our upcoming DAppChain Game)
- 1 x card pack on “CryptoZombies Battleground” (our upcoming DAppChain Game)
And if you completed all 6 lessons before April 20th (12:00:00 UTC), you received:
- 10 x LOOM Tokens (Developer tier Loom Membership)
- 100 x DelegateCall Tokens
- Legendary genesis item on “Etherboy in Blockchain World”(Upcoming DAppChain Game)
- Special-edition card with your very own zombie (genetically cloned from your CryptoZombie’s DNA) on “CryptoZombies Battleground”(Upcoming DAppChain Game)
Note that #3 and #4 aren’t usable yet. But when we release Etherboy and CryptoZombies Battleground within the next 1–2 months, those items will be waiting in your wallet to be used (and we’ll show you how to activate them when the time comes).
The Big Picture—Ethereum Continues to Grow as the Smart Contract Platform of Choice
Taking a step back…
Ethereum smart contract development has really hit the “explosive growth” part of the growth curve.
Since we operate the most popular Solidity learning platform online, we get a first-hand view at the massive interest from developers all over the world.
(CryptoZombies currently exists in 12 different languages, and many of you have kindly volunteered your time to contribute translations).
It really resembles the early days of the App Boom.

As far as we are concerned, Ethereum has basically won the race for developer mind-share.
And with such a sizable and growing lead, it will be extremely difficult for another smart contract platform to catch up to Ethereum.
(Which is why we at Loom Network chose to build on top of Ethereum instead of another blockchain platform that claims to do x, y, and z feature better — but that’s a topic for another post! 😉)
