The official game launch has been a hot topic in every Mech Master discussion channel. So, no more waiting, this article will walk you through gameplay preparation which is fundamental to the success of your playing and earning purposes. Let’s break down the components and take away key points.
I. Overview
Being the pioneer gaming project in the Mech Metaverse, Mech Master is a 3D NFT game with both AR and VR technologies implemented. Its turn-based strategy nature allows players to plan ahead the tactics to win the intense PvP battles. Assemble a squad of Mechas, equip them with deadly weapons, and attach them to clever leaders aka Pilots — you are good to join the game.
II. Objectives
The ultimate objective of the game is to win the battles by assembling suitable weapons, and building a mighty squad of Mechas.
The more Mechas and weapons collected, the more possibilities to combine them. Players can then fine-tune these teams with unique game plans and strategies, and bring home the glory as fast as possible.
III. Devices
Mecha enthusiasts can enjoy Mech Master on PC-Windows in this quarter, on PC-MacOS and Mobile (Android & iOS) in Q2 2022.
IV. Genre and rules
Being developed as a combination of turn-based strategy and card game, Mech Master players command their team to fight against their opponents in a lineup of 3 to 5 Mechas. Each mortal combat takes place in approximately 20 minutes, with each turn lasting 15 seconds. This duration is long enough for one to effectively deploy the warriors, and short enough to play over and over and conquer the arena.
V. Rewards
Each time winning a battle, you will receive a fragment which can be used to build a complete pilot or weapon, and gain a higher MMR (Matchmaking Rating — the number calculated for each player to match them with players of similar skill). In addition, ranked battles and daily quests will also generate extra tokens for the players.
VI. Maps
Each map is constituted by different hexagon tiles with various terrains. In the first version, the dimension of a PvP map will be 19x21. Up until now, there have been 9 types of terrains, which will be revealed in another article talking about maps exclusively.
VII. Mecha skills
The versatile Mechas can carry 2 types of skills: skills of their body parts, and skills of their weapons. These skills are divided into 2 pools: active — the skill related to Mecha’s class, and passive — the skill that can be activated once all requirements have been met. Another skill under development is Race skill which links to Mecha’s race.
Each skill costs a certain number of Skill Points which can be accumulated from in-game activities. Together with base stats and elements, the diversity of Mecha skills gives you countless possibilities to get an All-star crew of Mecha. Wisely harmonize those factors and you can gain a huge advantage over your enemy.
VIII. PvP categories
There are 2 modes of PvP battles: Normal & Ranked.
The normal mode will not change your MMR, and does not feature players on the leaderboard. This game mode has bots open for matchmaking in case you want to train yourself and get well-prepared for battles with human players.
On the other hand, the ranked mode will calculate your winning battles and count them in the MMR. If you get to the top of the leaderboard regularly, the high MMR will facilitate you to confront skilful counterparts frequently as well. There is no bot available in this game mode since players will compete against each other.
IX. Condition to join a battle
Mech Master Arena requires players to assemble 3–5 Mechas fully equipped with the same number of weapons, depending on game modes. Pilots are not compulsory; nevertheless, they are strongly recommended since a Mecha equipped with a Pilot will provide their owners with certain benefits and extra earnings. Those benefits will be proportional to Pilots’ rarity.
During a PvP battle, the level and rarity of weapons are variables to their stats, while Mecha stats will not be affected by the level and rarity of any weapon, pilot, or Mecha. This signifies that a team with low-level warriors and equipment can still outplay its stronger enemies, as long as the player judiciously utilizes its resources.
