A long forgotten draft, written in the immediate aftermath of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and never published anywhere. I believe there’s merit to some of what I said then that still rings true, but looking back on some of my choices for a bold future squad is amusing today.

Blatter’s gone… I can only hope this is the beginning of REAL change at FIFA and for football(/soccer) as a whole. End the corruption and questionable events around major tournament allocation/voting, heavily invest in grassroots efforts in the game on every continent in an ethnical way and beat back the influence money has on the sport.
