Escape to Illuminate Part 3

The Moonscientists had completed the infrastructure to connect the universe. The technology would harness the power of moonbeams to enable teleportation to the Mooncity, if only it had enough power. The Mooncrystals must be located and recovered, charged, ignited, and utilized.

The Moonwarriors had identified an Ancient in the Moonstone hologram and moved to seek him out. They began by visiting each house in the village as they knew what he looked like, but not where to find him.

As they moved through the settlement they noticed that it was extremely hot out. The sun felt too warm on their skin, and the light was almost blindingly bright.

When the Moonwarriors reached an odd-looking house, they knocked on the door. It opened, though no one appeared to be home. They talked among themselves to determine what to do.

Considering the fact that someone may be hurt, they announced themselves and entered the small home. The rooms were sparsely furnished, though there were signs of recent inhabitation. Finding nothing in the main living space, they moved to a lone bedroom. There they found a bed, recently slept in, and a closet door left ajar.

The Moonwarriors prepared to leave, but the smallest of them noticed something inside the dark closet. Gathering around, the group saw that the closet contained the entrance to a tunnel.

A small Moonwarrior volunteered and ventured into the hole. It was rough and made of dirt, but he fit through easily. What he found inside caused him to shout to his waiting friends and they hastened to join him.

After a few short steps downward, a vast tunnel opened before them. Unlike the dirt hole entrance, the tunnel accommodated their large bodies easily and was well-lit with fluorescent lights. The Moontunnel was walled with a kind of metal they had never seen before. It was cool to the touch. There was a low hum emitting from the lights.

Energized by this discovery, and thankful for a break from the hot sun, the warriors filed in. They walked a few paces and found that the tunnel diverged, heading in three different directions — left, right, and straight ahead.

The swift warrior took off to the left and was back in a moment reporting that the tunnel continued in what appeared to be a circle and that to the left, an offshoot lead up to another closet in a house like the one they had just entered the tunnel from. This house, too, was deserted.

He ran to the right and found the same again. The warriors peered wearily at the tunnel straight ahead, curious.

“Wait here and I will run further to the right,” said the swift one, “I have a feeling the tunnel is a circle. If this proves true, we can venture into the center.”

After a short while, the swift warrior returned from the left, confirming that indeed, the tunnel was a circle. He had lost count but shared that there were many offshoots, presumably to other Moonriver Valley homes.

“I guess we should see what is in the center of this circle,” confirmed one of the Champions without a trace of fear in his voice. The hum in the tunnel fed their strength and solidified the warriors’ resolve to complete the mission and recover the Mooncrystals, no matter the cost.

Clue Set 2: Ancient Moontunnels

Reminder: The official google form is not yet open, so you are recording your answers somewhere you won’t lose them until it is released on Monday.

The Moonbeam and Moonriver ecosystem is thriving. Many ecosystem projects will participate in Illuminate/22 On November 10 and 11:

4. According to the Moonbeam Network website, how many Community>Projects are listed as “DeFi”?

5. According to Derek Yoo, the Moonbeam XCM SDK abstracts lower-level details (i.e. multilocations and fee info) for easier incorporation into Dapps.

What does the Moonbeam XCM SDK simplify the use of? On an unrelated note, you should probably follow @derekyoo on Twitter.
