MouseBelt (P-Rep) reinvests rewards to boost ICON awareness
As a P-Rep, we seek to drive more developers to the ICON protocol. At MouseBelt, however, our mission goes beyond that. We hope to educate the crypto community around ICON and add value to the network while driving adoption as well.
One of the several ways we intend to achieve these goals is by reinvesting our rewards as a P-Rep into REIMAGINE, again designating ICON and Balanced as official sponsors for past and future events. At REIMAGINE, ICON and its core partners have provided speakers to give updates regarding the release of ICON 2.0, BTP and newly launched dApps such as OMM.
#1 Blockchain and Crypto Virtual Conference
MouseBelt (P-Rep) continues to host its regular series of monthly conferences, with the most recent REIMAGINE conference being V10 “Anniversary Edition”. It marked the one-year anniversary and the tenth overall edition of the world’s largest virtual cryptocurrency and blockchain conference. A key driver of the event is providing valuable educational content by bringing together cryptocurrency experts from across fields and chains in a FREE event.
Thousands of crypto-enthusiasts, investors, entrepreneurs, developers and students tune in from around the globe to watch, which cover a wide range of topics: from “State of the Artchain” (the latest on NFTs) to “Game of Chains” (a look at the current landscape of blockchains). While each event has a larger theme, topics covered for each event include current market trends, industry updates and sector insights.
Every speaker, interview and panel provides an opportunity to learn something different — from technical innovation to nontechnical developments related to the core fundamentals of not just blockchain or development, but also social media, psychology, and society as a whole. After the first year of REIMAGINE, MouseBelt has hosted more than 500 speakers with hundreds of hours of content. Over 2.2 million minutes have been watched by 15+ million viewers.
ICON Perspectives
We covered many topics to enlighten viewers about what ICON has to offer and what value they bring. To discuss more about ICON and its community we invited a select few to break it down. Ricky Dodds, who handles Strategy and Communications at the ICON Foundation, elaborates on interesting projects built on ICON, interoperability, wrapped tokens, and the ICON Roadmap (Full Interview). One of the early contributors to OMM and Head of Ecosystem for the ICON Foundation was Daeki Lee who spoke about ICON’s early journey, why community matters and the impact of open finance (Full Interview).
The active community that surrounds ICON has been a critical component to its success. To understand how important the community is we invited ICON ecosystem partners and early contributors to speak about it such as Kumar Pandey, CTO of Ibriz. Kumar talks about the importance of bringing more developers into space, working closely with the ICON foundation, and the growth of dapp development (Full Interview). An early supporter of the ICON network since its ICO and a leader in the ICON community is the founder of the ICONist and CEO of G3 Partners, Nathan Millard. Nathan discusses ICON during the early days, trends in emerging technologies, crypto in South Korea and marketing strategies unique to the industry (Full Interview)
