What will kill us?

I’m fascinated by the coming revolution. The one where we let computers destroy us at all our inefficiencies.

I don’t have to know much about AI or machine learning to know it’s a tidal wave that will alter the landscape.

Twelve hours

I wake sometime between 4:00 and 4:30 most mornings. Not because I’ve set a morning routine or because successful people are early risers.

That’s the time I need to get out of bed to make it to my office. I take care of my dog, shower and dress, and then get out the door by 5:30.

Sleep deprived

I’m horrible to myself.

I don’t get enough sleep. I’ve known this for some time now but I have yet to take a single step towards improving.

I didn’t realize just how poor my sleep habits were until I looked into my Fitbit data.

Done and not done

I have written a short post, and published it here on Medium, every day for the last two months.

I wasn’t prepared for this challenge. I had no goals and I had no expectations.

Everything that should be built

I’ve spent so many years wanting to do everything. Thinking I could if I gave it the attention.

Makers need to make. We expand our understanding, our learning, and our interests.

Just getting started

I am both young and old. Experienced and naive.

There are many situations where I am fully confident in who I am and what I know.

Equally, there are as many where I feel like a complete starter.

Demand better answers

Understanding requires more questions and better answers.

This is true of our government, our media, our employers, and our relationships.

The ability to converse in an honest and open manner is crucial to thrive.
