In the last episodes of my low-poly modelling series, I mostly focused on nature stuff or futuristic objects like a robot. But after I made a low-poly truck, I decided to try and make other everyday-life things…

So this time, I went for furniture and modelled a simple couch. It’s basic but it was quite fun to make :)

A nice low-poly couch!

For the pillows, I used the same trick as I did for the rocks: the “subdivide then decimate” routine. As explained by Imphenzia in his low-poly videos, this allows you to get an interesting shape and only then reduce the number of faces to get back to a low-poly style.

Apart from that, I also re-used the “Mirror” modifier to get a symmetrical couch but only have to model half the object.

Enough talking: here is the 1' timelapse video of how I modelled this couch — I hope you’ll like it! :)

As always, if you have ideas of what I could model next in low-poly style, feel free to react in the comments!
