Dear NuNetopians,

As we embark on an exciting new phase of growth and innovation, we’re thrilled to announce significant changes within our organizational structure. These adjustments aim to enhance efficiency, foster innovation, and better align our teams with NuNet’s target platform architecture and strategic objectives. Today, we’re excited to introduce you to our newly restructured teams and their respective areas of focus.

NuNet’s significant restructuring is driven by a desire to closely align our team structure with the detailed technical roadmap outlined in the recent NuNet Technical Roadmap Update 2024. Throughout this process, we’ve carefully considered key factors. Firstly, we’ve focused on understanding the target architecture of our platform, ensuring our teams are organised to support its development and implementation effectively. Secondly, we’ve examined the actual repositories, milestones, and ongoing work within our technical teams to inform our restructuring efforts accurately. Lastly, we’ve acknowledged the dynamic nature of product structure evolution, particularly in the context of challenges faced in the decentralised computing space.

This understanding has guided our approach to restructuring NuNet as presented in our organisational chart structure. We’re confident that our teams are well-equipped to drive forward the ambitious goals outlined in our technical roadmap.

Team Structure

As part of our organisational restructuring, NuNet’s technical team is now divided into five specialised teams, each led by experienced leaders in their respective domains. Supporting these teams are two vital functions: the Marketing & Community Team and the Operations Team. Let’s delve into the unique roles and objectives of each team below.

Core Platform Team

The Core Platform Team, led by Dagim Sisay, is responsible for the development and maintenance of the primary platform component, known as the device-management-service (DMS). Currently, the team’s primary focus is on updating and refactoring the DMS based on the insights gained from 2023, as well as the challenges and technical opportunities identified in the decentralised computing landscape. As outlined in the NuNet Technical Roadmap Update 2024, this refactoring process will run concurrently with our pursuit of the hybrid model and is anticipated to be completed by Q1 or early Q2. Keep an eye out for Whitepaper 3.0, which will provide a comprehensive explanation of the platform architecture and model, incorporating the new developments from 2023 related to AI and LLMs, and the work accomplished over the past two years of development.

Infrastructure/Supporting Team

Kabir Veitas, NuNet CEO & CTO, directly leads the Infrastructure/Supporting Team, supervising crucial services such as Quality Assurance Testing, DevOps, Security Engineering, and Blockchain expertise. This team acts as the backbone of our technical operations, primarily supporting the Core Platform Team — the heart of our Technical Development team. They play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of NuNet by researching and providing essential infrastructure and support services, ranging from quality assurance testing to robust platform security. Composed of QA Tester, DevOps Engineer, Security Engineers, and Blockchain Lead, this diverse team is pivotal to our success.

Portfolio Management Team

Janaina Senna, Critical Chain Project Management Lead and Solutions Architect, leads the Portfolio Management and Integrations team. This team is dedicated to overseeing our project portfolio and ensuring reliable software development processes for improved delivery and predictability by following established CCPM practices, processes, and project management tools. Additionally, the Integrations Team is responsible for implementing integrations with other platforms and potential partners, and use-case development such as our GPU ML use case. The team functions as early clients and adopters of the platform, thus setting crucial technical constraints and real-world use cases to be addressed by the early iterations of the platform.

Research/Enabling Team

Under the direct leadership of Kabir Veitas, the Research Team propels innovation by exploring emerging technologies and crafting prototypes for future enhancements. Committed to advancing innovation through research and development, this team delves into emerging technologies, conducts feasibility studies, and prototypes new features. Their efforts are the groundwork for future advancements, ensuring NuNet’s leading position in decentralised computing. Established in Q4 2024, the team’s focus and mission has been thoroughly detailed here.

Marketing & Community

Under the guidance of Jennifer Bourke, our Marketing & Community Development team takes charge of fostering relationships with our community and stakeholders. This dedicated team spearheads marketing campaigns, interacts with users, and cultivates a dynamic and supportive community centered around NuNet. Their endeavours amplify our brand’s visibility and guarantee that our community stays well-informed and actively engaged.

Operations

Led by Ilija Radelijc, Chief Operating Officer at NuNet, the Operations Team oversees various administrative functions, such as HR, Office Management, Legal, Finance & Accounting. In addition, the Operations Team will lead the business development and deployment of pilot projects as the platform reaches a sufficient maturity level. This dedicated team plays a vital role in providing the necessary infrastructure and support to ensure the smooth operation of NuNet’s activities.

Furthermore, in January 2024, we were delighted to welcome Marta Lenartowicz to our team. Serving as the Decentralised Governance Architect and Lead, Marta focuses on researching Decentralised Governance models in close collaboration with Kabir and all of NuNet’s co-founders.

Conclusion

These newly structured teams reflect our commitment to excellence, collaboration, and innovation. By organising our talents and team members in a more strategic manner, we are poised to accelerate our growth and achieve new milestones on our journey towards revolutionising decentralised computing. We are incredibly excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and are grateful for your continued support and enthusiasm.

Together, we will shape the future of decentralised computing.
