We talk to Andre Miro from XDAO, for a behind-the-scenes look at the Oasis Bloom Hackathon Defi Mover winning team.

What is your project about? Please describe your project in your own words (in friendly, accessible terms)
XDAO was created with the idea to make DAOs the place for crypto mass adoption by providing the tools for groups to control mutual treasury, build communities and invest in DeFi.
In short, XDAO is a fully customizable DAO builder for treasury management, multi-sig wallet, and the platform for investment. DAOs on XDAO can be any-sized companies.
Web3 is about innovating, disrupting, and evolving industries — What industry is your project aiming to evolve, and what specific issues do you want to solve?
Our main task is to solve the problem of trust in the joint management of funds.
Where does your project name come from? Where did you get the inspiration?
Brainstorming took a long time. There were many non-standard ideas, but our concept is quite to the point, like a banking app. A solid product needs a clear and simple name.
What does your typical day look like?
In the morning, part of the team devotes time to meditation and yoga. After that, we have breakfast together and discuss future plans. Then everyone does their own tasks for productive work. In the evening we have an active rest: badminton, swimming pool or sauna, everyone spends time as they want.
Why did you decide to build on Oasis Network? Is there anything that excites you specifically about the Oasis community and team?
Emerald is Oasis Network’s EVM-compatible ParaTime and allows easy integration with EVM-based DApps, such as DeFi, NFT, Metaverse, and crypto gaming. Since its launch in November 2021, network growth has increased rapidly.
As the leading privacy-enabled and scalable layer-1 blockchain, Oasis Network is ideal for DeFi. It offers instant finality, 99% lower gas fees versus Ethereum, high throughput, privacy protection, and defense against MEV.
Who is on your team? Tell us a few things about you, your roles, and your passions. How did you meet each other and decide to work together?
All of us were independently involved in the crypto world one way or another. Vladislav Shavlidze, our CEO, was the first to come up with the idea of creating the XDAO platform about two years ago. At that time, he was already experienced working in the finance and crypto industries, and he saw that in the near future, the market would require a tool for a fast and convenient way of creating organizations on a blockchain.
In 2019 Vladislav introduced his brother Zurab Shavlidze to the project, and they formed the basis of the XDAO team. During their research, they found that existing DAO builders were too complicated for an average user with no programming experience. Thus, they saw an opportunity to build a user-friendly platform that would be accessible to every user without a programming degree.
It was a difficult technical task, and to achieve it, they invited Egor Gavrilov (CTO) to the team. Egor is a professional mathematician with extensive experience in DeFi development and is the founder of several other crypto projects.
Soon after, they started expanding and invited Anna Godovnikova (CMO) onboard. Gradually our team grew with like-minded people who shared the same ideas and philosophy as the founders and wanted to change the cryptocurrency world along with XDAO.
What excites you most about blockchain & Web3? Are there any “crazy dreams” you have for the industry, and how it will affect our broader society?
Decentralization. We believe this is the main thing that should be in the blockchain and Web3.
What are your future goals; where do you see yourself in 2–3 years from now? What’s next for you?
One of our goals is to become a bridge between web3 and the real world by creating a company that will work transparently in the blockchain.
What are some obstacles you faced while building your project? What did you learn?
Initially, there was no idea where to start and where to go. The Web3 space is the fastest-growing and fastest-developed industry, so we learned how to be as flexible as possible and always respond to market demands. It is not as easy as it looks!
