If the lion would have had courage
the scarecrow a brain
and the tinman a heart
would they have needed Dorothy at all?
Yesterday my troubles seemed so very far away
and when I went to sleep last night
I didn’t want to close my eyes
because I didn’t want to miss a thing
Threw out the apple before it even went bad
Never knowing what she could have had
Shiny red delicious could have been her fall
But what if it wasn’t laced with poison after all?
