Prioritization needs to start with value, not effort

One of the thoughts that ruminated on my mind during 2020, was about the common practice of prioritizing features based on effort/cost/time.

Prioritization begins in strategy

Prioritization is an ever-present activity during product development: there’s constant decision-making about which features should be inserted in the roadmap and backlog, and in which order.
