Biweekly update on Cosmos ecosystem vol. 50 🎉, 2nd June — 16th June
Greetings, Space Cowboys and Astronaut Girls! Here is the 50th anniversary issue of ‘Cosmos biweekly’ already — our traditional report which covers various topics from Cosmos Network development milestones and events to ecosystem news and projects’ updates! Thank you, Cosmosnauts, for reading us! We sincerely appreciate your interest and support, and will continue to do our best to deliver you high-quality and intriguing content!
So without further ado, we have a few areas to cover today.
First and foremost, a new Cosmos Hub Roadmap 2.0 is out! Earlier this year, Cosmos completed its whitepaper, fulfilling its founding vision of blockchain interoperability, scalability & usability that was laid out in the original 2016 roadmap. Today the Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocol, enabling the transfer of digital assets & messages between Cosmos chains & more, lifts the Cosmos Hub to new levels of scalability & utility. Discover those key developments that are bringing the cross chain and DeFi future to the Cosmos Hub: liquidity protocols, staking derivatives, interchain staking & accounts, NFTs.
Governance proposal #47 has successfully passed. It was requesting to decrease the requirement for proposal deposits from 512 ATOM to 64 ATOM to allow governance activity from smaller holders. New proposal is to increase the inflation rate change variable as for the network to better protect itself against unbondings & react faster when ATOM bonding ratio drops below the 66% goal. Proposal #49 is a request for comment from the ATOM community regarding the activation of the Gravity Bridge module onto the Cosmos Hub. By voting YES to this proposal, you will signal that you approve of having the Gravity Ethereum.
As for the Cosmos ecosystem news: CosmWasm turns 2, Persistence launches pSTAKE, offering liquidity for billions of staked cryptoassets. The mobile version of the Crypto.com Exchange has officially launched. The Secret BSC Bridge is now live on mainnet, doubling the number of supported Secret Tokens. Pylon Protocol is launching in a few days to make Anchor Protocol yield programmable. THORChain launches THORName service. NetEquity and Althea announce a strategic partnership to build broadband networks by using smart contracts. Agoric testnet Phase 3 recap was published. BadgerDAO launched on Polygon to accelerate the adoption and utility of Bitcoin on its network. Bluzelle has partnered with the best platform for engaging developers, Gitcoin. Injective collaborates with MDEX to enable liquidity mining for INJ. Oracle Audiences are now integrated with Amazon DSP to provide advertisers with more actionable insights about consumer behavior on and off Amazon. Bytom 2.0 alpha testnet released. Idena 2021 community report was published.

The current deposit amount of 512 ATOMs prohibits valuable governance activity from small holders or those with most of their ATOM staked. The requirement lowering to 64 ATOMS was proposed.
