- Maker has unveiled the Optimism Dai Bridge, which will let users quickly move Dai between Ethereum and the Optimism L2 without having to worry about long withdrawal periods. Track all maker improvement proposals in the new MIPs Portal. The Governance Facilitators have placed a Governance Poll ‘Greenlights, Parameter Adjustments, and more’ into the voting system on behalf of the MakerDAO Risk Domain Team. The Governance Facilitators and the MakerDAO Smart Contracts Domain Team have placed an executive proposal ‘Stability Fee Changes, Onboarding ETH-C’ into the voting system. Future governance proposals may restrict, or deprecate, the legacy contract. - UMA Call Options Now Live: Building Call Options on UMA (Part 2): 1 million UMA call option tokens have been minted with a $35 strike price and April 30th, 2021 expiry. These call option tokens are all pooled with UMA tokens on SushiSwap and anybody is free to buy them if they want leveraged, limited downside exposure on UMA. UMA token holders can also mint and sell these call option tokens to earn income. At the moment, there is no minting UI, but UMA will pay a bounty for the creation of one. Any DeFi project can design their own call option tokens on UMA’s infrastructure and take advantage of the many strategic uses.
