The Heaven Swan

See us unfurled and angled
against the corona;
gliding upon the solar winds
of Amaterasu.

Dear Dylan

These are all or nothing days
with the need to be distant,
the will to be free.

Travelling, Still

Driving always makes me think
of us, and around you;
how we wanted the same things,
but how I only chose you.

Indent a dimple with a smile

and I lose density, lose myself
with a chagrined flush;
wondering why

As we raced against
the unwinding hands,
I espied, in the winter’s light,
your private grief — released
in the briefest
of droplets…
