(See the previous update here.)

Last week was a busy one for us, we’re working hard to make sure backing projects and purchasing PLG is a seamless process. We met with a crypto friendly payment processor and started work on integrating their API with our backend. We’re also working with a few exchanges in order to make sure transacting with PLG outside the platform is convenient for users around the world.

Backend

  • Added a notifications system for project comments, updates, and milestones
  • Planned and began work on a payments processing system to take fiat payments and reduce fraud/chargeback risk
  • Added additional filters to give more options for project discovery
  • Added social login with Facebook
  • Expanded unit tests to cover social authentication

Frontend

  • Continue homepage updates
  • Integrated new backend APIs with a few project management pages
  • Added new illustrations, icons, fonts, and colors from MetaLab designs

Contracts

  • Continued updating smart contracts for projects and backer insurance
  • Worked out a few details related to Camp Shares

This week

This week we’re diving head first into the payments system and focusing on handling fiat currencies. We want contributing to a project to be as simple as it is on other crowdfunding platforms. With that in mind, we’re accepting credit cards, though we need to be extra careful of fraud and chargebacks. We’re also on track to finish a few major frontend tasks, and should be able to get started on updating login and project pages to match MetaLab designs.
