We are proud to announce that we have arrived at this year’s second major milestone for Plutus — the release of the Tap & Pay BETA on TESTNET, which connects to the existing PlutusDEX BETA.
As you may know, our journey to creating the peer-to-peer platform for both buying digital currencies and spending converted assets began early. Plutus was the first in the space to release the concept of mobile payments and debit card management within the cryptocurrency sector back in 2015.
From the onset, our goal was to provide a practical solution for the day-to-day problem that the community struggles with: using Bitcoin in everyday life
We sought to create a platform that would allow users to make use of their crypto (Bitcoin, Pluton, and later also Ethereum) without the need for merchant adoption and third-party cryptocurrency exchanges, as well as a way for people to buy these currencies.
The main problem was that users lacked the option of receiving buy orders directly onto a cold storage wallet without worrying about exchange solvency or security measures. We wanted to change that.
Now, thanks to the dedicated grind of our all-star development team, the release of both the PlutusDEX and the Plutus app is within reach.
Recently we released the beta of the PlutusDEX with the help and feedback of our dedicated community. As a result, our development team has made continuous strides and improvements in line with the expectations of our users.
We would like to invite and welcome you — all of our crowdsale participants — to download the Plutus Tap & Pay BETA for Android (.APK file), test the platform, and give us your honest, constructive feedback through social media or our community Slack channel.

We envision Plutus as a community oriented service offering because it ventures into unexplored territory. As such, we would like to make sure that all of our users are satisfied. This is why we believe in continuous improvements and will not shy away from significant changes or pivots in the future.
We understand that many of you are eager to use Plutus as soon as possible, however, our priorities are and always have been to create a secure and convenient platform rather than rushing to market prematurely.
We are now ready to open both the PlutusDEX BETA as well as Plutus Tap & Pay to all crowdsale participants. If you didn’t particpate in the sale then simply join the BETA waiting list.

How It Works
Make a deposit on the Plutus Tap & Pay app. Your deposited currency is sold to another user who wants to make a purchase on the PlutusDEX. Dex users’ GBP or EUR balance is then released to your Tap & Pay account.
