Due the current data privacy issues hitting Facebook and also GDPR coming to full force, there is enormous global attention and many dialogues going about how things in data privacy should not be. At the same time, much less so about how they could or should be.

The risks of data collection go way beyond Facebook

The Facebook/Cambridge Analytica data sharing scandal is a necessary wake-up call, but the issue is much bigger than Facebook, and the less visible aspects of data collection arguably present much greater risks.
