Being crushed…

Is like a magnificent diamond,
shattering into fragments,
tiny, deadly,
each shard piercing you till
As dark clouds roll by and thunder stills
as the sun wins its battle and rainfall cease
a rainbow emerges
and kids point and laugh and scream joyfully.
an endless cycle
-
taking off my shoes
on the balcony
i stood at the edge
gazing down below me
bustling streets
A poem on the torment in forgiving
Years have gone past;my memory is fadingBut amidst the fog,it pieces itself together. It endures all the times I scribbled, the times I smeared. They are the parts I crushed, the parts I buried.
Mirror, mirror on the wall
there is far too much in my heartthat there is nothing in my headit may hurt me to think of you but it shall kill me to think about you
I stare at the mounting darkness looming over me,
watching, staring, smirking,
knowing the pain it causes me,
My inner turmoil.
