Q4 2020: The Raven Distribution Framework Saw Major Strengthening of the RavOP Library

Following up a strong Q3 2020, we stayed heads down and focused building in Q4 2020.

Raven won the Mozilla Builder Award at the Fix-the-Internet showcase. Additionally, we received grant funding from Mozilla Builders.
It is recognition by the top open source organization in the world that the Raven Distribution Framework is a critical infrastructure project for the decentralized world. We demonstrated best traction and commitment to fix the internet with Mozilla Builders.
🦾 Strengthening the RavOP library 🦾
As mentioned, RavOP is our library to perform arithmetic calculations, create computation graphs and train machine learning algorithms. Now we are supporting 44 ops in the RavOP Library 🎉
The following is the Raven Distribution Framework UI. It contains the lists of queued ops, clients, graphs and ops. The purpose of this UI is to monitor the progress of ops and graphs.
🤖 Algorithms in Development 🤖
Parallel to the strengthening of the RavOP Library, we have been working on improving the following algorithms for the Raven Distribution Framework
- KNN
- SVM
- DecisionTree
- RandomForest
- LinearRegression
- LogisticRegression
XGBoost hasn’t been implemented yet, because we have been working on DecisionTree and RandomForest and the complications took more time than we expected. But we are almost there.
🔥 Decentralized Exchanges and Liquidity Pools 🔥
With the migration to Binance Smart Chain, our tool stack has expanded. The RAVEN/SPARTA liquidity pool was created where Liquidity Providers receive incentivized rewards for supporting the deep liquidity for the Raven Community on the BEP-20 token.
Raven Holders are taking home 6% of all emissions coming out of the yield pool by contributing liquidity to the RAVEN/SPARTA LP.
Raven holders have started taking advantage of all the activity on Sparta along with Binance Dex and the RAVEN / RUNE Liquidity Pool on Thorchain.
The RAVEN/RUNE LP also has incentivized rewards for supporting the liquidity on the Binance Chain BEP-2 token. This dual cross-chain structure with Binance Chain (BEP2) and Binance Smart Chain (BEP20) is fast and provides all the benefits of being part of the Binance ecosystem.

🥩 Staking ran 3-months flawlessly 🥩
Many stakers provided their compute nodes to Raven Protocol network. Logistic Regression and Linear Regression models were trained utilizing the compute power that stakers provided when leaving a browser tab open. It was exciting to see the Raven Distribution Framework live out in the wild and working.

👨🚀 Q1 2021 Development Roadmap
- Private V1.0 launch of the Raven Platform
- Public launch of the reward system for our users who wants to contribute nodes and compute power. Thank you to stakers who are participating in the Proof of Steak program. Your early testing has been invaluable!
- Continued research & development moving Deep Learning. E.g. ANNs, CNNs, and Transformers.
- In Machine Learning, implementations of the following will be available:
- Linear Regression
- Logistic Regression
- Decision Tree (Classifier and regressor both)
- Random Forest (Classifier and regressor both)
- SVM (Classifier and regressor both)
- KNN (Classifier and regressor both) - We will start working on the integration of our RavJS library with partner websites and softwares as well. If you run a high traffic website and would be interested in an integration, please reach out for potential Pilot opportunities. With Partner Websites, their users/customers will contribute the compute power.
