RCN is finally live! After a year-long product redesign process, RCN is thrilled to announce that the RCN Credit Marketplace’s revamping is complete. During 2019’s last quarter, the project reached all the necessary development milestones defined on the roadmap and gave the platform its last adjustments, leaving it ready to take-off!
While the process required thousands of different changes, modifications and improvements in the development, design and communication areas, six of its most essential updates stand out from the rest:
- RCN Protocol v4.0 Diaspore, the RCN Protocol’s latest version, which improves on its predecessor in both performance and scalability potential and enables the integration of new features, such as Installment Loans and Collateral-backed Loans.
- RCN Credit Marketplace’s UX/UI Revamping, which includes improvements ranging from esthetic changes to enhance the platform’s look and feel, to comprehensive modifications in the information shown to the users and the messages guiding their experience.
- Stablecoin Lending with DAI & USDC, enabled via Uniswap integration.
- Multi-Oracle Factory, a smart-contract responsible for accurately providing real-time exchange rates for all the currencies available on the Credit Marketplace, including USD, ARS, DAI, USDC, ETH, RCN and MANA.
- Multi-Wallet Login, a feature that allows users to connect to the Credit Marketplace choosing from a variety of Ethereum wallet providers, including Metamask, WalletConnect and Coinbase Wallet.

Learn how to fund a loan now!
Now that the Credit Marketplace is live you can become an RCN lender following a few simple steps. Along the process, you’ll be able to see how all the upgrades and improvements added during the last year make up for a completely revamped and amazing lending experience:
- Access the Credit Marketplace and connect your wallet using Metamask, Coinbase Wallet or Wallet Connect. If you don’t have an Ethereum wallet yet, please create one using one of these platforms.
- Make sure to have funds in DAI, USDC, ETH, RCN or MANA. You can check your Wallet Balance on the upper-right side of the screen.
- Check all the available loan requests on the Lend section. You can see all the loan’s relevant information — including its creator, status, currency, lending amount, return, interest rates, installment schedule, collateral, borrower and oracle — by clicking on it. Once you have chosen one, click on the “Lend” button”.
- Choose the currency you want to fund the loan with among DAI, USDC, ETH, RCN or MANA and verify the lending amount and the return in both that Lending Currency and the Borrowing Currency. Bear in mind that while the return in the Borrowing Currency is not affected by exchange rate fluctuations, the one shown for the Lending Currency is, which means that it can’t be guaranteed.
- Click on the “Lend” button”, confirm the transaction on your wallet’s pop-up dialog and wait until the loading bar indicates that the process is complete. That’s all! You’ve successfully become an RCN lender!
After funding a loan, you’ll have to wait for it to be repaid as indicated on its duration. In the meantime, you can find it on the My Loans section and verify its status and repayment progress by clicking on it. Once it gets repaid, you’ll be able to access your lent funds — including principal and interest — following these easy steps:
- Verify its “Repaid” status by searching it on the My Loans page and clicking on it to open its expanded view.
- Check the funds repaid in RCN on the Available Balance button on the top-right of the screen and click on it to transfer them to your wallet.
- Approve your wallet’s transaction and check your new funds on the RCN Wallet Balance button on the top-right of the screen or in your wallet. That’s it! Congratulations, you’ve earned your first returns with RCN!
