In “The Science Found The Best Diet”, I talked about the best diet for health

The most common diets are:

  • Low-carb diet: Restricting total carbohydrate intake below 30% of total calorie intake.
  • Low-fat diet: Restricting total fat intake below 30% of total calorie intake (mostly plant-based)
  • Low-glycemic diet: Limiting glycemic load by avoiding high glycemic index foods.
  • Mediterranean diet: Emphasizing olive oil, vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, beans, legumes, and fish.
  • Mixed/Balanced diet: Following authoritative dietary guidelines with both plant and animal foods.
  • Paleolithic diet: Emulating the diet of Stone Age ancestors, focusing on vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, and lean meats.
  • Vegetarian/Vegan diet: Excluding all meat or animal products
  • Other diet (e.g., gluten-free)
