The REMME Pre-Sale is Over: More Than $1.8 Million Raised!
On December 25th, REMME concluded its pre-sale. Now that the dust has settled and the numbers have been crunched, we’re pleased to be able to release a full report. In short, the REMME pre-sale was a great success and we’re extremely grateful to all of you who participated and showed your support throughout.
The figures in full
Over 500 whitelisted participants elected to take part in the REMME pre-sale, snapping up REM tokens at $.04 each. As promised, we paid out a 20% pre-sale bonus and an additional 10% for the REMME family members. Support for our pre-sale came from all quarters and all corners of the world. In particular, we were delighted to be able to count the Bits Capital and Crypto Art funds among our ranks, who joined us as early supporters.
We’re happy to announce that the REMME pre-sale raised a total of approximately $1.8 million.
So what’s next?
The pre-sale might be over but the hard work is only just starting — or rather beginning. Now we need to get up to warp speed as the next few weeks are going to be hectic. We wouldn’t have it any other way though. We’re now ramping up work on protocol development, which will see the REMME team burning the midnight oil as we set about perfecting our passwordless authentication system.
Meanwhile, we’ll be updating our white paper with full details on the consensus algorithm we’ll be using and the platform we’ll be designing for our custom blockchain. Due to the high workload we’ve got on, coupled with high demand, we’ve had to push our pilot program back slightly. The REMME pilot program will now be kicking off on 19th January. We’ve been overwhelmed by the number of companies that have approached us expressing a desire to take part. Over 60 firms from industries that include telecom, infrastructure and fintech have stepped forward and applied and we can’t wait to start our closed beta.
Our team is growing
In the next few weeks we’ll also be introducing some new recruits as we look to bolster our team and bring even more experts onboard who can help us deliver our vision. From development to marketing, REMME is about to be strengthened on all fronts. These added hands on deck will also prove their worth as we gear up for our public sale in February, in which participants will be eligible for a 5–10% bonus.
