We are what we repeatedly do. I’m re-inventing myself by improving in 15 areas at a time.

This post is part of my Re Human project.

Daily Habits

Books: Today I started and finished The End of Jobs. These are my top 3 favorite notes:

Every system has leverage points, even your life, and your career.

We’re transitioning into a Fourth economy: limit is creativity. Entrepreneurial economy. From corporations to individuals / entrepreneurs.

More time and freedom creates space to create more time and freedom.

Full notes here:

Meditation: also did 20minutes in the afternoon instead of the usual morning.

Digital Drawing: Today I went for it and got the Vitruvian portrait course. Watched intro and Materials videos.

Piano: Today kept practicing left-hand accompaniment, chords, and also practiced La La Land’s Mia’s and Sebastian’s theme — hadn’t played it in a while.

Re Human Extended Activity: On Wednesdays, I Dance.

Today the Uber pricing to get to my Salsa class was super expensive — and Uber Pool would mean I would arrive pretty late. Probably because it was raining.

So I decided to see that as an opportunity and explore other ways of dancing. I’ve only been doing Salsa since I started Re Human, and it’s been super fun and I’ve learned a lot, but I feel like I also want to learn other forms of dance.

So I started with searching for “Learn Hip Hop” in Youtube and watched this:

this one was super cool because the dancers are obviously really good

also saw a general “dance” one:

then googled “types of dance”, was reminded that “tap” existed, and watched this tap video:

I thought Tap was going to be cooler. So searched for Tango:

Seems like it definitely requires a partner and my girlfriend is currently long-distance — even though in Salsa there’s also a big partner component, I want to try something I can learn by myself now.

The most fun definitely seems hip hop. Naryan, my housemate agreed and when I asked him for what song he’d recommend for a “day 1” recording that I can use for a whole “timelapse of progress” video, he recommended a great song: I can Transform Ya by Chris Brown. Recorded myself for 30 seconds for “day 1”.

Writing: This post, journaling (day and night), and my book review post.

Fitness: Today I trained with dips, human flag push ups, handstands, and sprinting.

Soccer trick juggling: Practiced hop the world and around the world. Trying to get one right after the other.
