We are what we repeatedly do. I’m re-inventing myself by improving in 15 areas at a time.

This post is part of my Re Human project.

Daily Habits

Books: Today I finished The Elements of Eloquence. Also started and finished Make Your Bed (super short book, based on an awesome commencement speech by an Admiral Navy Seal). And listened to a podcast by First Round Capital. Some notes from today:

For if we have nothing to say, we can at least say it well.

Start your day with a task completed. Making bed creates momentum of discipline and attention to detail. At least one task completed of the day you can be proud of.

Without daring greatly, you will never know what is truly possible.

Meditation: 20minutes in the morning.

Dancing: Practiced the moves I’ve been learning this week: the heel-toe “happy feet” and this dolphin dive with rise up this morning with one song.

Digital Drawing: Today I kept watching the “finding the features” lesson on the Vitruvian portrait course, and applied what I learned. Looking at it now, there’s too much space from the nose down.

two days ago, today, and the portrait I’m going for

Piano: Today I continued practicing Ludovico Einaudi’s I Giorni in Flowkey.

Re Human Dynamic Activity: Fridays I’m a Digital Designer.

Worked on designs for my startup.

Some things were mockups of the general learning interface, based on building blocks for individual concepts/projects/videos, seen per day or per month.

The blocks don’t match to the title — I was first testing how I would teach a course on Re Human concepts

Writing: This post, code, journaling (day and night), and a daily thought.

Fitness: Today I tried again to do as many chin ups as I could in 1 minute. Trying to get to that world record (57). Today I experimented with jumping off the bar a little earlier than two days ago. But didn’t work that well, I got to 48 instead of 50 two days ago. Today I focused my training on chin ups. Also worked abs.

Soccer trick juggling: Today was the second time I’ve ever gotten two consecutive around the worlds in a row, but also didn’t get on camera. Practicing so I can get them more consistently.
