Daily Habits
Books: Today I continued with Curiosity. Some learnings from today:
Mystery is the most consistent predictor of preference in landscape pictures.
Curiosity is contextual — it’s not an independent attribute of each person, it varies per topic.
Stories are engaging because they leverage curiosity: how will it turn out?
The internet is making the smart smarter and the dumb dumber.
Meditation: 15 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes in the afternoon.
Digital Drawing: Today I finished the Structuring the Mouth lesson. Added some of the blueprints to the lips of my portrait. Then started the Structuring the Ear lesson:
Piano: Today I went back to practicing I Giorno by Ludovico Einaudi on Flowkey. I looped in one section that’s causing me trouble — focusing on the hard parts and not a lot on the parts I already know.
Morning Dance: danced a song from my Buxton Patio Vibes playlist.
Writing: This post, code, journaling (day and night), and a daily thought.
Re Human Dynamic Activity: Music Production.
Today I spent my practice time on Logic Pro. I chose a song that I like and that sounded “easy” (found out it wasn’t so much), Light — Instrumental by ODESZA, and tried to make it from scratch. Focused on just the beginning.
Then I remembered this guy on Youtube who makes re-makes of songs. Was in a language I don’t understand (Dutch) but it was entertaining because I had just gone through a similar experience.
Soccer trick juggling: Practiced for 10mins with Apricot music.
Fitness: Today was a rest day for arms. I felt like walking and running outside — ever since the daylight savings hour change, it’s been so pretty outside. So I jogged to the AT&T Park and the pier there, and back:
