This week, our attention quickly shifted from the completion of our pre-allocation round to finalizing the details of our final TGE phase, the crowd contribution round. We were pleased to set and announce the date of the final TGE round as March 27th at 13:00 (1:00PM) CET. Details for registration can be found below.

Secondly, we received approval for an NSERC Engage Grant from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada for Scalable Blockchain for Offline Payments over Bidirectional Channels, with research to be conducted in conjunction with Dr. Victor Leung and the University of British Columbia.

And, we continued sharing the RightMesh vision around the world, participating in conferences in Denver, New Delhi and Geneva.

TL;DR

  • Product Managers Brianna and Andrea attended ETHDenver, the largest Ethereum hackathon to date. Rakib, Ayesha and Maman from the Bangladesh office attended BlockDelhi in India. Co-founder and COO, Chris, attended the Blockchain and Bitcoin Conference in Geneva, Switzerland.

Tech Progress

  • Received NSERC Grant: see previous notes
  • TGE Smart Contracts: Completed development work on the smart contracts that manage the vesting schedule of tokens for employees and advisors.
  • Training New Team Members: A major focus of this week was to conduct technical onboarding sessions specifically for our newest team members, Lucien and Andrea, but they turned into full team participation sessions! We continued to learn together through stimulating discussions on the future of the protocol and the developer platform. So many great ideas shared and lots of excitement among the team.
  • Ongoing Refinements: Apart from the critical work of training, the team is working on is making refinements at the token protocol layer and the Android libraries so token updates are properly represented in the app. A private beta version of meshIM that demonstrates the integration of mesh networking and token mechanics will soon be released to the community.

UX Progress

  • Flare Branding: With the Flare branding finalized, we’ve been designing visual elements to bring together the look and feel of the Flare brand, including custom iconography, a new splash screen and an app icon.
  • Flare Research Recruitment: As part of our research for Flare, we are looking to interview people who work in disaster response services. If this is you, or you know someone who you think would be interested, please contact partnerships@rightmesh.io.

  • Crowd Contribution Date Set: After the successful completion of our Pre-Allocation Round, we are thrilled to have announced date and details of the crowd contribution round as per below section.
  • Smart Contract Audit Complete: We received positive audit results back from CoinFabrik on the token and crowd sale smart contracts and will be sharing the results with the community in the near future.

As a quick reminder, our official telegram channels are:

There have been a number of imposters accounts within the RightMesh channel that are pretending to be RightMesh admin. These fake admin are direct messaging our community members requesting funds, email addresses and personal information.

DO NOT SEND FUNDS TO ADDRESSES WHICH YOU DID NOT RECEIVE ON THE BITCOIN SUISSE PLATFORM.

The fake users send out false emails from what appears to be a rightmesh.io address (as pictured below). The emails contain counterfeit URLs that redirect potential contributors to mirrored RightMesh websites and to the scammers wallets where they are conducting their own ICOs.

Do not be fooled by these scam emails!

RightMesh will NEVER solicit funds via Telegram, email, Twitter, our website, direct message or any form of social media. All contributions will be managed through the Bitcoin Suisse platform. Anyone who contacts you with a special offer or asks for you to send them crypto directly is trying to scam you.

  • Andrea Ainslie (RightMesh Product Manager) and Brianna MacNeil (Blockchain Product Manager) attended ETHDenver in Denver Colorado from February 16th — 18th. ETHDenver 2018 was the largest Ethereum hackathon in the world to date with over 500 hackers!
  • Rakib Islam (Left CTO), Ayesha Islam (Operations Manager), and Mamun Hasan (Senior Software Engineer) travelled from Bangladesh to attend BlockDelhi in India on February 21st.
  • Chris Jensen (Co-Founder and COO) attended the Blockchain and Bitcoin Conference in Geneva, Switzerland on February 21st.
  • The winners of our internal hackathon in Bangladesh returned home from a 4 day trip to Nepal!
