As the RMRK 2.0 standard unlocks the full potential of what can be done using NFTs, a large number of projects started to interact with it. This post will show the most relevant stats about the collections they created with RMRK.

Over 2200 collections are using RMRK as their tech of choice. The chart below shows the top 20 collections by the number of addresses holding an NFT.

Top Collections — By Number of Holders

The collections with more holders are “It’s always darkest before the dawn…”, “Kanaria Partnerships”, and “PhalaWorld Pioneer Badge”, from airdropped NFTs to communities and/or new users that the projects wanted to attract. The first non-airdropped NFT collections on the Top 20 are the Kanaria Genesis and its Items, followed by Dino x Dino.

Top Collections — By Size

When looking at the top 20 collections by the number of NFTs minted, there are interesting facts:

  • The top 2 collections are items from Evrloot: in-game resources. However, these items are held by not so many users (197 for resources and 282 for fishing);
  • The third one is from Proof of Chaos, a protocol for incentivizing governance voting;
  • The other positions are occupied by airdrop items, such as Potions Items and Trusted by Manta Network;
  • The exceptions are Kanaria Birds and Dino x Dino.

You can check all collections, by size, in the table below.

Collection Size x Trading Activity

Is there a correlation between the number of minted NFTs or the number of holders and the trading activity? We can see the number of trades in the charts below (with and without Kanaria Birds).

What dictates the trading activity is the perceived utility of the NFTs. As seen in the charts above, the most traded collections aren’t the bigger ones (resources from a game) or the airdrops with many holders but from collections that attracted users by their lore, community, and utility. You can check all stats about the trading activity in this previous post.
