Project update: Game Maker updates, VoxEdit Beta, and LAND MoonSale
The latest developments and updates of The Sandbox gaming platform.
We continue to develop and implement important tools and key features in VoxEdit and our Game Maker to allow artists, creators, and players to create unique voxel assets and game experiences.
This month’s key developments will enable a full blockchain workflow when we launch at the end of the year.

Game Maker Alpha Version
The release of the Game Maker Alpha has started as our teams began sending it out to some whitelisted users. These users will be the first ones able to test, create game experiences and give their feedback. Most of them are part of our Game Maker & Creator fund.
We are excited to finally have some of our users to begin experimenting with the Game Maker Alpha. This will give them the opportunity to better understand what the Game Maker will become in the coming months and what they can do on their LANDs.
Along with the release of the closed Game Maker Alpha version, the teams have also released a new set of features and improved terraforming that will allow the creation of more detailed game experience such as health points, dangers, enemies, dialogs doors and keys… The possibilities are now aplenty and we can’t wait to see what you come up with!
To get users started on the Game Maker, the build will include two thematic templates: city and nature, to help them get accustomed with the tools of the Game Maker. A training ground has also been included to help users learn how to combine behaviours to create new ones.
The full adventure level Canyon diorama will be there to guide first time users and fully showcase the possibilities of this very version of the Game Maker. It is also a fully playable game that can also just be enjoyed as such!
With a custom sized work zone, VoxEdit models importation and a link to the users’ wallet, each experience with the Game Maker will be unique.
Users will be able to play around with new behaviours that can be applied to their avatars to build an all around more complete experience. For example a perilous atmosphere can be implemented within game experiences with the inclusion of new behaviours such as void and multiply with which you could create endless pits of doom; ladders to climb arduous mountain tops; and the sound emission to create an immersive environment! HP and damage systems have been improved and advanced animation systems are now available on top of these other improvements.
As the distribution of this version of the Game Maker has begun, the next version is concurrently being developed and is expected in July. This new version will come with new exciting features some of which are: a fight system, new quest behaviours, enhanced avatars, biomes, improved user flow, a new world to explore… and many more surprises. MoonSale
The Sandbox Team is pleased to announce a new and exciting special event that is coming to the metaverse! The MoonSale is a lunar-themed LAND sale that will last for five weeks following the lunar calendar. The first moon sale will start Thursday, June 4th at 1PM GMT (the day before the full moon). It will be the occasion for new users to participate in this event and purchase their LANDS with a 20% discount, in accordance with the prices of the third LAND presale.

VoxEdit
A new version of our VoxEdit software was released at the beginning of April and an upcoming update is coming in June so stay tuned!
