How do WE fix the world? Small steps, thought thoroughly!

I have been thinking up a few strategies that have a decent change to work, but I don’t have the time, drive, nor audience to present them to, so I’ll present one here, and if you are or anyone else is interested, we can talk more on the subject.

First of all, I have to say that this does not go straight up into a different socioeconomic system, because that’s impractical, so small changes with increasingly significant results would have to be made incrementally. (As a side note, to separate this from the political ideologies, I do not call myself “progressive”, but “innovative”.)

The easiest changes require some understanding of how to change the system, and the main mission-statement would be “raising the life standard for as many of the people as possible”, and would have to initially be based on excluding those with conflicting ideologies, until their ideologies change, if ever.

Okay, time to actually suggest some changes. A company usually pays around twice the salary an employee receives, once to the employee and around once more as tax. VAT means that you pay a percentage of the price of a product or service, as tax.

So if a company takes care of the housing, feeding (and drinking), sanitation, electricity, heat, internet and other utilities, then a company would pay half the price than they would do through a salary. By having the goods and services produced by the company be used by the company, the production price can be as high as to include the VAT and still break even or better, also having a higher degree of flexibility than by counting on different companies for those products and services. Oh, and online education can be almost free, and on-site apprenticeship can be much cheaper than high-school + university.

So, if one has money to invest in making the world a better place, one can create jobs and also have those jobs both create more jobs and raise the living standards of all the employees of such a company. (The terms I use are #UBLS Universal Basic Life Standard for the ideology, and #CoCoShi Company-Community-Shift for giving a higher legal status of an instance of the applied ideology, through the usage of a corporation to satisfy the needs of the existing politic-economic system.)

It’s funny, if there are extraterrestrials out there with the tech to observe humanity, it’s no wonder they don’t contact us. We can’t be trusted. We’re allowing a few to hurt billions, by inaction. Not only do we not do the things we could to make our own lives better, we’re actively doing things that make our (individual) lives worse!.

One last thing…
