Day 2 — Be everything people think you can’t

As soon as you make a public declaration that you will take a certain path you are going to face the following challenges.

Distractions

Energy Vampires (people that just drain your energy)

Ego Boosts (never trust your ego)

Shiny Object Syndrome (don’t look at other projects)

Euphoria (yeah! you are doing this!)

Quick Depression (oh no… I will fail!)

Tony Robbins Style Motivation (Wait! I’m amazing)

And then a deep feeling of …”Oh God.. now I HAVE to do this”

People love stories of the underdog… and to be honest building things, businesses, companies, writing books…. creating products is usually a romantic idea people love to follow.
But the fact is that BUILDING…. THE REAL BUILDING… it’s painful, it’s not romantic, in fact it’s boring and requires a lot of long hours that in many cases we don’t even value or understand.

In the case of this Agency I need to consider

Proposals

Tutorials

KPI

Handbooks

Outsourcing materials

Logo

Website

Staff

Legalities

Taxes

Software

And all that even before starting

So today is officially day 2 and the plan is just to start 100% from Zero. Because the idea of the Agency needs to start working ASAP it’s important to bring CASH flow to the business fast.

So here is the catch 22: Closing clients, without having my own branding sorted it’s not going to be easy.

So hello … 18 hours per day and bye bye …”let’s try to get inspired” . It’s time to work.

The goal for today Day #2 is :

DEFINE A NAME FOR THE AGENCY (I will make a whole post about this)

I really want to get a name for the agency PRONTO, and get ready to start investing and hiring staff.

This new Agency is going to be human centric. Social Centric. It’s going to be about building relationships, building talent, about communication, about honesty, about value and about interaction.
