WWDC 2022 Key Updates macOS 13 Ventura
After launching Mavericks in 2013, Apple has been naming its operating systems after a landmark or area in California. This year Apple has given the name Ventura to macOS 13.
macOS Ventura improves the things you do most on Mac. With powerful new ways to get more done, share and collaborate in your favorite apps, you can immerse yourself in next-level games and take full advantage of your other devices like iPhone and iPad.
Stage Manager
Like iPadOS 16, Stage Manager automatically arranges apps and windows into a single view, allowing you to stay focused while easily switching between tasks on any Mac.
1. Mail
In macOS Ventura, mail has got updated to another level. You can now undo a recently sent mail, schedule messages to be delivered whenever you want, and receive reminders to follow up or return to a message later. You may also include rich links in your email to provide your recipients with even more information at a glance. And if you neglect to include an attachment or a recipient, mail will detect the error and prompt you to provide the missing information.
2. Spotlight
In macOS Ventura, Spotlight has leveled up as now you can find images in photos, messages, notes, the finder, and the web right from Spotlight, and you can use live text to find an image depending on the text it contains.
Spotlight can now be used to rapidly set an alarm, start a focus, use Shazam to find the name of a song, run a shortcut, and more.
Spotlight also provides richer search results, including everything you need to know about people, albums, bands, movies, TV series, actors, sports, and businesses. By pressing the Space bar, you may see huge, scrollable previews of your files in Quick Look.
3. Continuity Camera
Use your Mac and the iPhone’s excellent camera system to perform things that a webcam can’t. Simply bring your iPhone close to your Mac, and it will automatically switch the camera input to iPhone. It directly connects through wifi, so there’s no need to plug anything in.
Thanks to the iPhone’s Ultra-Wide camera, the Center Stage feature is now available on any Mac. So you can stay centered in the camera frame even if you move around during video conversations or meetings!
Center Stage is a feature that helps you to remain in the center during a video call or meetings.
4. Advanced Gaming Features
Now new Mac can play demanding games as it includes Apple’s silicon and Metal 3, which provides developers with strong features to help them take their games to the next level. For example, MetalFX Upscaling allows games to render complicated scenes at higher frame rates, giving them a more responsive feel and stunning images.
Metal 3 also has a new fast resource loading API, which helps to reduce game loading times.
5. System Settings
A new sidebar style in system settings, which is instantly familiar to iPhone and iPad users, makes navigating settings and configuring your Mac easier than ever.
