Walking in Sunlight

September Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Shadows”

The truth: I’m not that skinny!

Our September sun is slow to wake up; sunrise today was 7:12 a.m.

My dog Syau always chooses our walking routes. On Sunday, Syau turned into our neighborhood’s smallest subdivision, Villas on the Lake, consisting of eight cottage-style homes directly across Unicorn Lake from our townhome.

As we turned west down the street, the rising sun was behind us, stretching me out long and lean and making Syau resemble a Dachshund rather than a Lhasa Apso.

Before Daylight Savings Time ends on November 5th, our sun won’t rise until 7:46 a.m. I don’t have that luxury!
