Croatia Airlines Business Class Split (SPU) to Zagreb (ZAG), Croatia
After a long couple of weeks touring Croatia by boat and on foot, alas it was time to head home. I took an Uber for the short ride from the Hotel Bellevue to the Split Airport (SPU) in the morning for the short hop to Zagreb, where I would then take another flight to Istanbul, Turkey…still only the first of two days of travel that it would take me to get back to the US.
The airport at Split, Croatia, despite being a reasonably small regional airport, was quite nice inside. Checking in and getting through security went smoothly, not unlike any similarly sized airport in the US. When it was time to board the small turboprop, we walked outside, handed our bags to the attendant, and then climbed the stairs to the plane.
Just like the flight out the week before, and as with most domestic business class flights in Europe, the front row of regular seats was blocked off for business class passengers. Usually, with 3-seat rows, the middle seat is not used, but in 2x2-seat small…
