The SORA, Polkaswap, and Fearless Wallet projects are all closely related as they form integral parts of the SORA and DOTSAMA ecosystems (of which SORA is a part). That is why development status updates are released every two weeks for these three projects, in one convenient place, with development updates from across the community. Like Jason Vorhees striking in the night, on Friday the 13th a newly proposed token, TBCD was announced to the SORA community. In the Medium article, we mentioned the main details of the proposed algorithmic, non-synthetic stablecoin, whose value is maintained by the SORA token bonding curve. TBCD is to be worth slightly under $1 when the price of XOR is lower than the TBC price point, and at the same time, it will help build up the reserves of the TBC, as well as replace XST as the token being minted to fund project development and the creation of goods and services in the SORA economy. Stay tuned for the referendum that will add TBCD to the SORA network tokens!
It is the 2023rd year of the Gregorian calendar, but the first beginning of the year for the SORA Integrated Plan. The last time we caught up back in December, a lot of progress was happening with the different tracks of the plan, this time, we are happy to announce that a lot of work was done during the end-of-year holiday season. A new release for Polkaswap.io dropped as a much-appreciated gift of the season to the community, setting a precedent for the great things to come in 2023 for the SORA Community, Network, and Economy!
Work on the SORA Kusama Parachain bridge is progressing at a great pace, soon it will undergo internal testing to make sure the security is top-notch and the integration is smooth. Very soon an invitation will be open to the community to help test the bridge, making sure it’s up to SORA Standards™️. Speaking of invitations, Dr. Makoto Takemiya mentioned in the SORA Daily telegram channel that parachain crowdloan campaigns to renew the SORA Kusama parachain lease and to obtain a Polkadot parachain will be happening soon!

XST Tokenomics are undergoing testing as we speak and will be released most likely within 1–2 weeks if the community approves. There will be an article accompanying this release that outlines the new powers that the XST token will have, pay close attention to the details, as this implementation, or rather, the power of XST will be upgraded in ways yet unheard of within the Dotsama ecosystem. Please look forward to this great article.*
Order book functionality is still at the initial stages, but it will be a track to keep an eye on during 2023.

At the beginning when we mentioned Polkaswap’s holiday release, our amazing community tried out all the features that were introduced and provided great feedback to help improve the Polkaswap experience, and cement it as clearly the best DEX in Dotsama. It’s not possible to talk about Polkaswap without addressing the elephant in the room, SORA Card. The most-asked question last year (and the first week of this one) was “wen SORA Card.” Understandably, the holiday season was slow-moving in terms of development, however, a new year has begun and with spirits refreshed, SORA Card integration testing is happening on Polkaswap and SORA Wallet (iOS & Android). Testing by all contributors will take the rest of the month (January) so tentative sign-ups are forecasted for early February. This will be released along with SORA Wallet’s new UI/UX design (drops mic).
Exciting news is also going on within CERES, as the Hermes DAO was proposed early last week. Follow their Twitter account and join their Telegram community, and be sure to read the Hermes DAO litepaper. Rumour has it that there is something special planned in relation to the Demeter (DEO) token, so stay tuned to their socials for more information. In case you haven’t been following us, the DEO token powers the Demeter Farming platform, one of DeFi’s best kept secrets.*

⚙️ SORA Blockchain Update
Substrate Trustless Bridge: SORA Parachain
- The bridge is being tested internally
- The bridge is also undergoing an internal audit
- Working on the overall bridge integration with the Kusama ecosystem (Mainnet ↔ Parachain ↔ Relay Chain / Other Parachains)
- Investigating security vulnerabilities
EVM Trustless Bridge: Ethereum
- Not much progress here, the bridge is still close to completion, but the team has been focusing on the Substrate bridge and SORA Card
XST Tokenomics & Platform
- We are testing the 2nd and last batch of XST tokenomics before the release
- We are ensuring that the client applications (mobile, web) are ready for the release to ensure nothing breaks with the update
- We are still working on the implementation of the XST Platform for synthetic tokens, and are in contact with our partners to get data from Oracles
TBCD
- The buy and sell functions have been programmed in the SORA token bonding curve and are awaiting testing
📱 SORA Wallet Update
🚀 Android
- The wallet redesign is mostly complete, the team is working on fine tuning the redesign to ensure the best user experience before releasing
- Working on the implementation and integration of SORA Card to the wallet
- We are regularly updating SORAlution (public testnet) to enable the community to provide feedback at anytime! You can download it on Google Play here.

ADAR Updates
The ADAR team is working hard to keep up with the development timeline provided, their progress so far is as follows:
- The main functionality is ready, there is ongoing work on required features and polishing. The current version is also fully tested, with most bugs addressed and fixed.

Ceres Updates
December was a busy month for the team at Ceres, they had a Grand Burning Event on the 22nd
The latest season of DEO Arena ended on the 25th of December;
And the Hermes DAO launched in early January

The Demeter Farming platform is available on the SORA network for users to farm with liquidity pool LP or single-sided staking, with interesting APR*. New pools are constantly added, too.
