There are now just 13 days left to vote, just under two weeks. And typically two days before voting in person, the early voting ends. So, technically there are 12 days left to vote, at least in some states.

I’m past retirement age, so I qualify for Medicare. This is the government-sponsored healthcare that has saved many a senior.

But why would I need healthcare? If I just eat right and exercise, I probably don’t even need to see a doctor, much less urgent care or the inside of a hospital. Right?

So vote Republican! They promise to do away with Medicare. (And Medicaid, too, for good measure.) Why? Because those rich white guys need your money. They don’t want to be taxed to pay for health insurance — especially for some decrepit old people.

If you didn’t take care of yourself earlier in your life, why do you think you deserve to live to a ripe old age? It’s preposterous.
