TCP Gekkou is a very strong team, but their results as of late are very inconsistent, even moreso than the general state of the Japanese scene usually is. In some events they can take the gold easily, while in others they can and will buster out. They also have one of the more balanced weapon compsition in the scene, with the usage of long-range splatlings, blasters, and shooters.

Currently the team has been struggling with a bit of a weapon crisis, trying to find a good composition to fit into a now slosher deco-heavy meta. It remains to be seen if this team will continue to be competitive with the current Japanese scene, or if they unwittingly buster out of the DAIOU league.

Squidding Good has a case for being the third strongest Splatoon team in the French scene right now based on their placements alone. Their performances at French Battle and FRST events show how far above their peers they stand.

This is a team that has lasted the test of time across two games and have been consistently been a Top 8 team. Right now their biggest challenge are matchups outside of the French scene. While right now they are kings of their small pool, there is a vast world out there waiting for some good squids to come out to conquer.

Winners Finals of Genesis 5 had the room erupting in loud cheers as Legacy did what many thought impossible, upsetting current champions STDx.

For a long time, Legacy has had the reputation of being a gatekeeper into the upper ranks of Splatoon. They have demonstrated to be the most flexible when it comes to weapon compositions and playstyles, thus can match up well with the likes of the top NA teams. As one of the most active teams in the scene, expect Legacy to continue outperforming teams that many would consider to be above them.

Slowly but surely, this team is inching their way to greatness. With one of the largest rosters in the scene, quantuM is ready to compete at the drop of a dime. The majority of their Season 2 finishes were all in the top 8, ranging from the weeklies to top tier events such as SqSS and InkCage II.

Recent acquisitions of newer members have only bolstered their roster and their power. For their next evolution, however, they will need to workout key matchups against the top teams if they wish to break into the upper ranks.

There is little to said that hasn’t been said already about this team. Libalent Calamari is an extremely strong top tier team, as seen by their consistency in Japanese events. However, matchups wise they are facing a bit of a personal crisis.

This team has always been ahead of the scene, but in recent days the players have been trying to figure out weapon compositions in the new patch. Atobaru especially has been affected by recent nerfs to Bubble Blower and Inkstorm, both of which are featured on his Spro mains. Even then, however, Libalent Calamari stands as one of the strongest and most popular team in the Japanese scene. Be sure to catch one of their OpenRec streams to see just much so.
