UHH, WHAT THE DUCK IT’S BEEN A YEAR!?
SUP DUCKS and DUCKETTES! It is time to whip out that spitter tongue and slobber down on some colorful candles. SupDucks hits one year old on July 17th, 2022! Before you start jumping around like a maniac make sure to pick up any KingFrogs sitting around, as unintentional mashing is now illegal in 35 states and 143 countries.
Where We Left Off…
Before we go flying bill first into party mode, upcoming events, and art, it is important to remember how far we have come. Towards the end of April in Redefining Sup, we walked back through the current assets and innovations that have been released under the SupDucks ecosystem. We are in the process of opening up a new site for all that information and future updates.

Anniversary Airdrop: Pixel SupDucks
On July 14th, 2022 SupDucks had our first-anniversary stream! Franky recapped year one with the team and shared some fun stories and photos to go along with all the action that has gone down. We dropped some ducks, some frogs, and the Giga MegaToad.
We set up utility to upgrade art, customize new pieces, and continue to play in the ecosystem. We threw a massive community meet-up in LA, and have already been to EthDenver, a VeeCon, and 2 NFT NYCS! Finally, we have a system of loops set up for Wacky Ducks to reward holders as SupDucks move into year two.
So to finish year one, on July 17th, 2022 there will be a snapshot for all SupDuck owners. In the days following you will be airdropped 1:1 pixel versions of your SupDuck pfp. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
V is for VX and VeeCon…
On June 1st, SupDucks VX dropped as a VOLT claim for SupDuck holders. Owners could mint the lookalike of their generative duck pfp in its voxel form. We also did a fun free claim for holders with all three current SupDuck assets. SupDucks VX models are built for the Sandbox and platforms that can use those files. We go more into detail on the Voxel FAQs HERE.
We absolutely rocked the house at VeeCon 2022. In our Ducks Don’t Stop Suppin update in May we showed the outline for the booth created by Scary Gary. And at VeeCon we hung out at that booth with regular Gary (“well he isn’t that regular but he isn't that scary” — KingFrog).
Highlights of the event included founder and artist Franky Nines on a panel, tons of interviews with friends and innovators in the space, and Sofa King drip that led to something special the following month at NFT NYC. We made a bunch of little clips to showcase some of the hype, which you can check out on our Twitter or here. We are looking forward to VeeCon 2023!

If you caught the hint from the Sofa King Drip in Minneapolis, Veecon had a little NFT quarter machine that led to the mockup of Doctor Drools Matter Manipulator! Mattsmancavearcades hooked the boys up with this crazy contraption for live mints.
Test Subjects can only be minted from the Manipulator at live events and at the SupDucks HQ. Ringalls took a little video of the live mint all decked out in his VOLT hockey jersey. You can view that video here and check out the first 104 mints right here.
NFT NYC 2022 was jam-packed with events! We kicked it off with a live show at the Cryptoon Goonz party, made sure to repeat the Barcade from 2021, and then closed it out with a bunch of communities and friends on a Yacht.
NFT NYC continues to be an energizing meetup and we can only hope they continue the push forward so the 2023 conference can be in January (KingFrog belly laughs). If you missed some of the event merch we have a few items available on our site here.
Community Spotlight — JDUNK
One of our community favorites and special muscle members TROPIC BIRD sat down with JDUNK to talk Sups and Ducks…
TB: “We have giants amongst us. Check out our multitalented…..JDUNK!!!”
JD: “Sup Sup Sup! I’m JDUNK smol HOdL. I’m an actor (stage, screen, and voice) that works a daytime 9–5 job as an automation engineer for an education software company. I dove into crypto at the start of the pandemic when the gigs took a hiatus.”
TB: “How and when did you find SupDucks? What drew you in?”
JD: “One day I was scrolling Opensea, and I came across SUPDUCKS. Everything from the name of the NFT collection to the spray paint style art was captivating and then I joined the discord and all these ducks we’re like “”. It’s the kind of wacky discord experience I was looking for and confirmed that there were fun times ahead.
If I buy an NFT, I better freaking love the art. I really like this artist. All the updates are hella clean. I’m a fan of the project evolving with the megatoad’s utility. The new update with wacky ducks, for some reason reminds me of the old Ed, Edd, and Eddy cartoon.
The idea of this NFT project going full production on a cartoon seems really fitting. I like the art and I like the people, so any expansion on the brand itself just makes me excited.”
TB: “Any memorable stories of the community or on streams?”
JD: “Every time I join these ducks in person, on stream, or Megavolt radio, I am imparted with gifts. Whether it’s Luis and I kicking it in person at a EDM concert, B-love’s classic jokes on wakingsup, Tyler just chillaxin with damn good music vibez, or Franky kicking it in Procreate, I always leave feeling energized!”
TB: “What words of wisdom to new SupDucks collectors?”
JD: “Ducks are being integrated everywhere. Supducks are gonna make it. You’re early to a trend that will reshape the world. It’s always dangerous when money is involved and this should not be considered financial advice, but Supducks isn’t just another NFT.
It’s got the classic nostalgic feeling of those cartoons you watched in the 90’s, but it’s futuristic in the way it’s evolving with first-time user-generated content on the blockchain, integration of $VOLT earned through social media activities, and a cartoon to possibly be hosted on major network channels. Franky’s art will be remembered for all of time and I’m just glad I can own a piece to call my own. I came for the art, stayed for the lore, and I’ll be supping ten years from now!”
