Sweets to the Sweet

Day 12

A day full of triumph! I did not crave candy except in jubilant celebration. I have acquired legal documentation of business legitimacy AND a box in which post is delivered. A friend bailed on our earlier arrangement but, that shall not dampen my victory!

Day 11

A long day full of trials. No cravings for candy though… just the sweet release of death.

Day 10

Oh, if ever there were a day cheat the rules I have laid for my benefit. Work was horrid, a wretch who has made a habit of spewing lewd profanities upon me as I enter my place of business and my temper ran rampant. To top everything I find out my favorite sibling, my youngest brother, is dealing narcotics. Woe! Woe! Oh woe! For a pound of skittles, nay two, no no no….three.

Day 9

No major temptations today. However I consumed most of a bag of potato chips in my car… Baby steps.

Day 8

The pineapple mocks me from my countertop. From the other room my husband is playing Mc Pee Pant’s, “I Want Candy” on repeat whilst cackling like a perverse hyena.

This will be a long year.

Day 7

Family members came to visit my work today. Giggling my sister-in-law pushes the issue of my brother’s loins towards me bearing a brightly coloured bag. Day 6

Someone brought a bag of H-mart candies for all of us at the coffee shop. There are matcha flavored KitKat Bars and some gummy candies where the label is in Japanese, possibly grapefruit? They taunt me while I’m on my break, teasing me with their sugar coated disregard for my honour and pride. Like a coward I hid…

Day 5

Purchased myself a large package of ginger flavored green tea. Hoping that the spice and caffeine will help my craving for the sugary drops of joy that once filled my life. I may just be creating a new problem to mask the old… but a significantly healthier problem to have? Threw out the last of the holiday sweets…
