You don’t need a social media presence to build a thriving freelance business.

You just need to understand the client acquisition pyramid (CAP).

Social media can take up a lot of mental bandwidth that distracts you from getting deep work done.

… but for many freelancers, it can also be a great source to keep clients coming through the door.

Freelancers I speak to often avoid scrapping the platforms altogether for this reason — even when it’s the source of their anxiety and stress.

They’d rather tweak everything else apart from the direct cause.
