Preventative Breast Cancer vaccine 12 years in the making heads for human trials

While Cancer remains one of the biggest killers of humanity, Breast cancer is one of the most common types of this deadly disease globally. After decades of extensive research, scientists are finally beginning to make some headway in finding safe & effective treatments for the disease. One such promising research that I talked about earlier in the summer was the discovery of an Omega-3 that poisons cancer cells.

Late last year, I wrote about another promising cancer vaccine, which has already started human trials after showing great success in animal trials. Moderna, the biotech company which developed the mRNA vaccine for COVID-19 has announced plans to use the same technology to look for a cancer vaccine as well. These are all good news, and I hope some of these endeavors filter through as viable treatments in the years to come.
