how magical it is
that a few classic ingredients

flour, eggs, water
(sugar)
can whip up
so many delicate goodies
pieces of edible sweet joy

how fun it is
to fling flour in a partner’s face
in playful vengeance
(and oh how un-fun it is
to clean that up,
yet #WorthIt)

these are the times
that we reflect back on
the most
when we remember someone
sometime ago.

how precious it is
that so many
find this through
such a common hobby.

Lucy (The Eggcademic) [she/her] never baked as a kid but found love through baking cookies, bread and lasagna (roasting? I guess?) with her partner as a budget-friendly date night in!

What’s next… this piece from Cocoa Griot or a random post?
