I’m 23 years old. I see too many people around me playing video games, drinking, reading news and giving senseless comments about life than is healthy for anyone. And, I see far too less struggling athletes, rejected artists, family professionals, business misfits.

If I’m honest, I’m easily influenced by others — especially if they bring to the table a chance to have fun & relax. I feel that there might be others similar to me sharing the same club — welcome if you are! In this club we can watch YouTube for 1 hour without a problem, we are professionals at it. We like to feed our brains with news — it gives a sense of awareness.

However the really honest part is that these habits don’t show up just like that, they are sub-products of a lack of focus. I wonder if you clog a toilet or see your burning house, how much more focus you have to deal with those problems. Why not to bring that sense of urgency to the club?

Let’s me open the window to something dear to me. It’s the case of rejected focus that has puzzled me for some time. Rejected focus for me is when a person knows how life works, feels confident on a lot of subjects, but has unconsciously rejected focus that feels like the right thing to do. This gut feeling might look like a sense of ambition — desire to do something awesome. On the other hands, this focus may take away a careless moment or might bring the possibility of rejection.

So instead of losing careless moments, they lose care. So instead of being rejected, they reject focus.

I feel that if I don't have separated mark on my skin that frames me as a misfit and specialist, then I’ve successfully rejected focus. On the other hand, if I see someone giving me odd look or a look of amazement — I know I’m in the game.

It’s the measurement of whether I am wearing my focus jacket. Even better, what gets measured can be improved, so it’s a crucial part to be aware of the reactions. Just don’t listen to critics, they are sad.

Focusing is widely covered topic — so wide that it’s fair to say that it can be as complex as you wish it to be. In the mix of focusing tactics (by the way I shared 2 tactics on medium recently — I’m fired up) we need to separate pure tools which are built on logics and go down on the sexier piece, which is where do we guard our focus? Where it is born? Getting sensual.

It’s sure that there isn’t a one special tactic to find pure focus. However, a lot of good drills as they help out big time. It’s sort of like running, you don’t become fit after one run — more likely you’ll complain and quit, if your focus is to become fit after one run. But when you develop desire to run — you become fit without complaining. So when you develop desire to find focus — it’s the sweet spot.

Additionally, think of how many thoughts and ideas are shared here on Medium — It’s easy to eat all those good pieces of pies, but in the end all the tastes mixes and you can’t recall any. If you know what I mean.

Therefore, you're welcome to join me on staying focused on focusing. Thanks for reading, this is it — my blog for today!
