Andrey Rudenko is a contractor with a passion for computers and architecture. With his company Total Kustom he developed the first portable 3D-printer for on-site concrete printing. One of his first projects? Printing a 12 feet tall castle for his backyard in only 3 months’ time.

Printed medicine
Aprecia Pharmaceuticals has developed the first 3D-printed and FDA-approved drug meant for people who suffer from epilepsy. It is designed to rapidly disintegrate when taken orally and thus improve the medication-taking experience for patients.

Titanium ribs
A 54-year-old Spanish cancer patient with a growing tumor around his rib cage has received a titanium sternum and rib cage to replace his own. The titanium prothesis was designed and manufactured by Melbourne-based medical device company Anatomics and printed utilizing the Lab 22 3D-printing facility.
