Announcing Cohort Q3 — the Interchain Builders Program

The Interchain Builders program has continued to thrive since its inception last year, offering invaluable support to teams building on the Interchain Stack. By providing assistance in areas such as technical support, fundraising, legal, and token design, the program has fostered the growth of numerous projects.

This quarter, besides the Accelerator track, we are supporting early stage teams in our Orientation track as well as projects from other ecosystems that want to plug into the interchain with our Integration track. While the overall support capacity across all three tracks stays the same, we believe categorizing teams into different support categories will help the interchain ecosystem get an overall higher quality of teams & integrations.

Today, Binary Builders is excited to introduce the 2023 Q3 cohort of the Interchain Builders Program Accelerator Track.

We evaluated 43 applications, and have selected 8 high-quality teams at various stages of development, requiring support in different areas. These teams are making strides in diverse verticals, including Infrastructure & Wallets, Data and DeFi.

Here is an overview of the 8 projects we are eager to collaborate with and support growing:

Infrastructure & Wallets:

Artela:

• Artela is an extensible blockchain network enabling developers to build feature-rich dApps by adding native extensions at blockchain runtime called Aspect. Aspect integrates customized functionality into the blockchain base layer, working synergistically with smart contracts to enhance dApp modularity and functionality. Artela is committed to building a L1 based on Cosmos SDK maximizing the value of Aspect programming as well as making Aspect programming a universal framework for all blockchain networks to expand more functionality.

Landslide Network:

• Landslide is the first IBC bridge to Avalanche, enabling seamless interoperability between Avalanche, Cosmos Hub, and other IBC-enabled chains. It ushers in a new era of cross-chain DeFi operations, scalability, and streamlined user experience by enabling any CosmWasm-based dapp to run natively on the Avalanche network. Landslide is fostering a more interconnected, robust blockchain ecosystem, enhancing liquidity, diversifying applications and assets, and attracting a broader user base to blockchain.

Leap:

• Leap is the most advanced Super Wallet for the Cosmos appchains, offering a top-notch user experience tailored for interchain users with the best in class UI design. Available as mobile apps for iOS and Android, and as a browser extension, Leap allows you to explore Cosmos Hub and 50+ Cosmos appchains, transfer and exchange your assets, earn staking rewards, participate in governance, make IBC transfers, manage NFTs, and much more, all from within the wallet app.

Vectis:

• Vectis is a self-custody wallet infrastructure designed to provide the functionalities of hosted alternatives. Leveraging account abstraction and the Self Sovereign Identity (SSI) framework, Vectis provides a secure, compliant and intuitive solution ready to onboard mainstream users to the decentralized ecosystem.

Data:

SEDA:

• SEDA is a data transport layer between crypto networks and off-chain data. Previously the SEDA team launched the Flux First Party Oracle which became the fastest growing oracle, reaching $3.7 Billion in Total Value Secured, within 8 weeks. To date this debut oracle product has enabled over $152 Billion in value transfer on-chain. The SEDA project has raised over $22m from leading investors Coinbase Ventures, Distributed Global, Reciporical Ventures, including angels Hart Lamburt, co-founder of UMA, Illia Polosukhin co-founder of NEAR, among others.

DeFi:

Amulet:

• Amulet is an innovative cross-chain DeFi protocol enabling users to unlock capital on Cosmos. Users will be able to stake assets on Cosmos appchains via Amulet’s pioneering smart contracts and also use them as collateral to obtain low risk, highly efficient self-repaying loans against future staking rewards and DeFi yields. Loans will be minted in matching synthetics and automatically repaid over time, avoiding the risk of liquidation of staked assets. Launching on Neutron in Q3 2023, Amulet will open up exciting new avenues for DeFi users to deploy their capital across the interchain.

Nibiru:

• Nibiru aims to create a next-generation DeFi hub, integrating leveraged derivatives trading, spot trading, staking, and bonded liquidity provision. As a secure, transparent, and self-custodial trading hub, Nibiru wants to stand out in the fast-evolving DeFi ecosystem by offering enhanced interoperability and a one-stop shop, full-stack user experience.

TFM:

• TFM is the first web3 project with native DEX and NFT Aggregation, including Pro-Trading with advanced analytics, and the web3 first — ALOB (Aggregated Limit Order Book). They also provide a comprehensive set of IBC products that abstract away the complexity of interchain DeFi: IBC Swap, IBC Transfer, IBC Integrate (widget, API, SDK), and IBC Connect. Their products combine infrastructure and tooling with user facing dapps.

The Builders Program supports these teams on an ongoing basis as their projects continue development and their needs and requirements change over time. We could not be more excited to work with such a group of quality projects and are looking forward to accelerating the growth in the Interchain.

We are planning to onboard another cohort in Q4 2023. Later this month, we’re planning to reveal our updated branding as well as our Builders Knowledge Hub, containing valuable information on how to get started in the Cosmos Ecosystem as a builder.
