Australian Country Party
When a party is formed to directly compete against the Nationals, you would think they would try a different tack to try and get elected. Not the Australian Country Party though, who seem to have a pretty similar viewpoint on a lot of issues.
But, when your Victorian branch ends up merging with Katter’s Australian Party, you’re not telegraphing yourself as the more sane option. Nor when you delete all of your position statements on policy and leave it up to a Facebook group to decide what your stance should be.
But, that opens a beautiful opportunity for you, reader, because the ACP obviously has no technological skill whatsoever and has left the group open to the public. So please, go forth and spread absolute havoc.
Fun side note: the party’s website had been hacked when I first tried to access it to research for this profile, so there’s no way you should trust these guys to run a country.
Policy
As I mentioned, the party has deleted literally every piece of detailed policy they have. Supposedly, they will be uploading their new and improved policies “on a regular basis”, but I really don’t give enough of a shit about these guys to update this profile.
So, I’m going to have to go off their “core values”, where they call anyone born in Australia ‘indigenous’ (not a good start), want to ‘reinforce traditional Australian values at the time of the foundation’ (because they won’t be outdated AT ALL), and have a desire of ‘destroying terrorism and fighting totalitarianism and globalisation’ (big words for a party who will not and should not be elected).
