The APP identifies as “centrist”, and to be honest their policy is so vague that I have to use that as their identifier because there is no other way to gauge where they stand. That’s the first strike against them.

The second strike is the fact that they are in desperate need of a graphic designer by the looks of their website.

Who would ever vote for a party that put out material like this?

But the final strike is because in all 6 by-elections the party ran in last year, they came dead last. Even in Wentworth, where there were 16 candidates. And that tells you everything you need to know.

Policy

Look, the main problem with their policy is just that it’s just hard to read. Not just in a “how can anyone come up with this bullshit” hard to read, but it’s just really poorly formatted.

But when you manage to get past that,you still can’t make sense of it. They want to reform the tax system, but the new system they recommend is somehow more confusing and definitely worse than what we currently have. They also want to introduce voter ID checks, which the parliament itself reviewed and found to not be beneficial at all. And look, the rest of the policy is on a similar level of bullshit so you know what maybe avoid them.

Vote for them if

You want to be part of the really exclusive group of people who actually vote for them.
