Centre Alliance

One of the largest parties currently sitting in parliament (they have 3 seats all up), this is the re-branded Nick Xenophon Team, after Nick ditched the party. And to be honest, that was probably a good move for them.

This is the calibre of people we have running the country and it’s worrying

And despite the fact that pretty much all of the current sitting members of this party have had some link with the Liberal party at some point in their careers, they have challenged the government on multiple occasions, which is somewhat good.

But just because of my inherent distrust of anything Nick Xenophon has touched or been involved in, and also my deep-seeded hatred of people labelling themselves centrist so you don’t know how they’re going to vote or act as leaders, I’m going to call the party trash.

I mean, you can try, but you won’t

Policy

So the party doesn’t have policy, they have “policy principles”, which is way too vague and gives them way too much wiggle room to act however they please when elected. They cover most of the bases in terms of what they have principles for, but it’s all relatively misc and doesn’t really stand out compared to the policy of other major parties.

Honestly, it’s 50:50 Labor vs Liberals. And you wonder why I hate centrists.

Vote for them if

You want your vote to be a perpetual coin flip for three years.
